Our Story

A founder-led factory, built on the work.

Joslon Limited is the leather factory founded and led by Zayed Bin Karim in Dhaka, Bangladesh — a city whose leather craft is known across the trade. Zayed came to leather from the fast-moving world of Daraz Bangladesh, part of the Alibaba Group, and built Joslon into a factory that serves international markets alongside its home market.

The company works one way: export only, mid-to-high-end, and judged by the product. No shortcuts on the hide, no shortcuts on the stitch. Buyers abroad get a factory whose founder is on the floor — and whose name is on the door.

That same eye for leather led Zayed to co-found Dutchman, a Dhaka luxury leather lifestyle brand, with two of his former Daraz colleagues — proof of the standard Joslon leather is held to at home, too.

The Craft

How a Joslon piece comes to be.

Five passes over every order — the same discipline whether the run is handbags for a department store or wallets for a boutique label.

Select

Hides are chosen piece by piece for grain, weight and hand-feel before a single cut is made.

Cut

Panels are cut to pattern with the grain running true, so every bag ages evenly and beautifully.

Stitch

Seams are stitched and reinforced at the stress points — handles, straps and corners first.

Finish

Edges are dressed, hardware is set, and surfaces are conditioned until the leather reads as one piece.

Inspect

Every finished piece is checked by hand before it is packed for export — if it isn't right, it doesn't ship.

Genuine leather throughout, worked in Dhaka by the people who know it best. Mid-to-high-end is not a label here — it is the inspection standard.
